Mr. Ireland is a graduate of University of Massachusetts at Amherst with a BS in Civil and Environmental Engineering. He is licensed as a Professional Engineer (PE) throughout the US and specializes in Civil Site Development and Sustainable Design. In addition to being a PE, Mr. Ireland is a LEED Accredited Professional by the US Green Building Council and has been recognized nationally by the American Academy of Environmental Engineers for excellence in the field of sustainable design and by the American Society of Civil Engineers for the regional project of the year in 2010. Prior to his work with Myrtha Pools USA (MPUSA), Mr. Ireland was a Senior Project Manager for Atkins International (formally PBS&J). Currently, he is the Senior Engineer in North America and Director of Technical Services for MPUSA and his Duties include the management of all technical personnel, oversight of all new Myrtha installations, after sales support of all existing Myrtha installations, technical advisor to North American operations and liaison to the corporate office R&D department in Italy. Mr. Ireland has worldwide experience in the design of a wide range of projects including military/prison installations, commercial/industrial facilities, and municipal parks/infrastructure and is uniquely qualified in commercial aquatics design, manufacturing and installation. In addition to hundreds of more conventional aquatics projects domestically, Mr. Ireland has consulted on many world-class competitive specialty venues.
