A four-month study was conducted in which several modifications were made to water treatment in the circulation system of a chlorinated, indoor swimming pool. In conjunction with this study, several critical water and air quality parameters were measured in real time. Given these parameters, it was possible to quantify the effects of treatment process changes on air and water quality, which will be discussed. Also included in this presentation will be a discussion of new analytical methods for use in real-time monitoring of air quality.
